New Year's Eve Celebration!

We went to Bible study tonight at church and after we got home we gave the kids snacks and decked them out in their New Year's party wear to have a little fun before we put them to bed. The kids were both particularly fond of the horns, no surprise there. I managed to catch them on video blowing their horns and giggling! I love their little laughs - they are contagious!

Weekend in Louisville

We left Friday afternoon to head down to Louisville, KY for our friends, Ryan and Krystle's wedding. Friday night was the rehearsal and dinner. We got to see the chapel where they were going to be married - it was beautiful! We went to downtown Louisville and ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory - the food was delicious and we had a fun night. (I'm now a fan of Derby pie! I also had flashbacks to when I was little and going to the OSF for my birthdays when I was little!) Then we were back to the hotel for our family sleepover - let's just say it was an interesting night with all four of us in the same room! The next day we were up and off to the chapel for pictures and then the wedding. Scott officiated and did a great job! Jacob was the ringbearer and perfected his duties! The ceremony was pretty and ended with a new Mr. and Mrs. The reception was fun and we got to visit with some old friends we hadn't seen in awhile. We had a really fun weekend as you'll see in the below scrapbook...

We went to visit Santa tonight after Emily's birthday celebration. Emily had told us all day that she was not going to sit on Santa's lap, that she would only sit on Mommy's lap like she did last year. We got up to Santa and sure enough she would only get close to him if Mommy was near. We had our picture taken - Santa, Mommy, Jacob and Emily. While Daddy and I were up looking at the pictures Emily climbs up onto his lap and I whipped my camera out of my purse and snapped this picture. This is a FIRST! I was so glad I was able to capture the two of them together with Santa as I know the time with Jacob is limited at this point. (I'll post the purchased picture soon! It's good too.)

Tonight we had our family birthday party for Emily's 4th birthday celebration. We invite the immediate family from both sides of the family. Those in attendance were: Grandpa and Mamaw, Papaw and Mamaw, Uncle Tom, Aunt Traci and cousin Nolan, Aunt Megan and her boyfriend Steve. Of course Daddy, Mommy and Jacob were there too! The theme was Hannah Montana. Lots of pinks and purples. She loved the cake. She got a lot of wonderful gifts and had a blast playing with all of them. It was a great party and we were glad all of our family was able to come and help us celebrate.

Blast from the past...

I was taking pictures off of my digital camera and putting them with my other pictures on the computer today. I came across this video of Jacob and it brought tears to my eyes. How quickly the time passes and how fast my children have grown up right before my own eyes!

Another one bites the ...

certainly not an apple, at the rate Jacob is losing his teeth. Tonight he lost with 5th tooth. Notice the new big gap on the bottom! It was so loose he practically flicked it out with his tongue. He even told me he saw the tooth fairy during the night!
