Trick or treat 2013
This year for Halloween we had Monster High's, Ghoulia, and Batman. They got to visit with Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss. They tried to scare us with their costumes and their pointy teeth but we couldn't be tricked into being scared, we know they are sweet, just like all the candy they got.

Ready for the start of the NBA
Jacob used his hat pass at school today. He said he wanted to get ready for the start of the NBA season by sporting all of his Bulls gear. I'd say he's got it pretty much covered. Go Bulls!

Mommy's lap
This is a view of my lap on a random night of snuggling up on the coach. Jacob, Emily and Miley all snuggled up watching some tv. Guess that's why they call it a LOVE seat!

Pumpkin carving
The kids were very into carving this year. They didn't mind getting the goo out and took part in making their creations. We ended up with a bat and a scary face. They looked so neat all lit up.

Jacob's story
A boy and his dog is such a neat and special relationship - a great narrative story by our very own, Jacob Taylor.

Aunt Shelley's wedding
Aunt Shelley married Jeff today in a pretty outdoor wedding. The reception was inside the golf clubhouse and The Taylor kids and grandkids got their own special section in the back to sit in. Plenty of room for the cousins to run around, play and pose for pictures.
Upward in the rain
So today it was raining during Jacob's game. We found ourselves a good parking spot and watched his game from the warm comfort of our car - sorry, Jacob. We had towels waiting for him at least when he was finished!

Favorite outfit
This picture is to commemorate Jacob's all time favorite outfit for the age range of 10-11. Blue and gold Nike shorts and a gold t-shirt reading Dunk It. I promise, he would wear it every day if we let him.

We miss you Daddy!
Daddy went on a weekend gospel meeting, so it's just Mommy and the kids this weekend. Jacob is the man of the house - watch out. We sent Daddy this picture to tell him we miss him and love him.

Flag football tunnel
One of the very fun Upward flag football traditions - running through the tunnel! Emily is always there to cheer him on.

Conference night
Conference nights are always great for hearing about how well our kids are doing in their classes but I have to say my favorite part is seeing their projects that are hanging up in the hallways near their classes. Tonight we found a page with Jacob goals and a descriptive story he wrote about Miley.

Emily's medal, recipe & couponer in the making
Emily was very proud to show off the soccer medal she received at her game today for being the super player of the game. I found this recipe she wrote about herself - so sweet. She borrowed my coupon shirt as a nightgown tonight - so cute.

Annual Halloween farm visit
Another fun yearly outing at Niederman Farm. Jumping pillow, hayrides, bonfire, picking pumpkins, faces in cutouts and playing on swings. A very fun, fall family tradition.

Emily visits Klo-E
While we visit with the twins Emily gives Klo-E some much needed attention and love. Both were happy campers.
