They made the trip up to Detroit, did some sightseeing before the game and took in the engery packed, fun filled game. According to them, the best team won - UNC. They made the return trip and got back at 4:30 in the morning. They had a blast!!!![]() |

Emily and her puppy
As you can tell from this video, Emily is completely in love with our new puppy. She loves to hold her and while she's doing that you'll hear her say "Who's the cutest puppy in the world, who's the cutest puppy in the world? You are!" We have found Emily a couple of times sitting in the dog's bed while holding her. It's so cute to see the two of them. Knowing she loves the puppy so much is helping me keep my sanity while Miley gets housebroken!

Introducing Miley - our family's new addition
| For the past couple of months the kids have really been interested in getting a dog. I have always been the hold-out on getting a dog. The clincher that finally got me was when Jacob brought home a paper from his 100th day of school - it was a book of hundred dollar bills and little sayings about what they would do if they had $100. Jacob wrote "If I had $100 I would buy a dog." We had been looking up different breeds and reading up on them. We had settled on looking for a Maltese. We went and checked out the pounds but there wasn't much to choose from in terms of small dogs. We went and looked at PetLand. Immediatley we saw this cute little puppy with an adorable face. They know what they are doing at that store! They put you in a little visiting room with the dog where you can hold and play with the dog. The kids loved her right away. Scott loved her and I have to admit I liked her too. She is a Havanese pure breed - a small dog that will only get 7 to 14 lbs. She is non/low shedding, good for allergens, intelligent and low maintenance. What else could I ask for? Except for her to already be housebroken? She is 8 weeks old right now and weighs 4 lbs. We decided to go ahead and get her. Not at all what we set out to do today but who could resist her cute little face. Everyone seems to really like her. Welcome to our family, Miley! ![]() |

Emily the gymnast!
The day has come where Emily is taking her first sports class - I can't believe it! She loves to flip around the house so we thought what would be more appropriate than gymnastics? I found a class for her at the Mason Community Center. It's 45 mins. long for about six weeks. Emily was so excited when she woke up. She wanted to get dressed right away and made me promise not to forget her special Emily water bottle. When we got there she ran right out on the mat and joined in class. They did all sorts of things on the mat, an obstacle course involving a somersault and a backbend, a walk on a full size balance beam (with assistance of course) and a flip around the uneven bars (again with help). She really loved class and is looking forward to going back next week! ![]() |
