The reason we got our Reds six pack was tonight, the Chapman bobblehead. It was a chilly night, but we were prepared. It's been neat to go down to the games and see all of the development that's taken place at the Banks. It's so great for the city. The kids always like to look at the bridge. It's definitely our favorite one.

Kitchen remodel
We started this spring on a few tweaks that we wanted to do in the kitchen. Actually, this wasn't one that we wanted to do, it was one we had to do. The seams in the floor were coming apart in multiple spots and needed to be fixed/replaced. We picked out a great grouted title that isn't cold to walk on. We are really happy with the results. I especially love that it doesn't show dirt, crumbs, pieces of grass AT ALL!

Emily's spring work
I love seeing all of the papers that Emily brings home from school. She wrote all about what she did on spring break. She wrote about how she wants to be an artist someday. I believe that! She is always drawing, crafting or making something!! It's neat to see how kids describe themselves like she did with the acrostic. Love their little minds.

Thankful words
At the gospel meeting tonight Scott preached on the "little chap who follows me". Throughout the lesson he talked about the parent/child relationship and our relationship with our Father. At one point in the lesson Jacob leaned over, rubbed my arm and said "Thanks for being a good parent, Mom." One of those moments that truly touches your heart and reassures you that you are doing a good job after all.

An ecomomics lesson
Jacob preached a sermon in the car on the way from from Scott's gospel meeting entitled "Needs and Wants" based off of an idea he got from a social studies lesson in school on economics. He applied the topic very well to many differnt biblical stories. Even at 10 years old this boy has got it and has his priorities in order. One of the ladies at the gosepl meeting today just happened to comment to him that in 20 years she wants to be hearing him preach at a meeting. She may very well be right considering the track he is currently on!

The twins are coming, the twins are coming!
We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Megan and Steve's twin boys. We can't wait for them to get here. We are celebrating by going to lots of baby showers. First we went to one at Steve's Mom's house. Then we went to the church shower that Elaine and I gave for Megan. They are certainly getting lots of nice gifts. Those boys aren't going to be lacking for anything!

Favorites
When out to dinner tonight with my Mom and Dad, my Mom asked Jacob what his favorite place was to get french fries. He quickly replied "that's a hard one, that's like asking me to choose my favorite family member!" We all got a really good laugh one of that one. That boy is a riot!
