New Year's Day/Papaw's birthday at Dave & Buster's

New Year's Eve

We spent New Year's Eve in at home.  We let the kids stay up to midnight - they made it, barely.  We ate a lot of party food and watched tv and rang in the new year with our party favors.  We've had another great year.  We have been truly blessed with each other and all of our experiences this year.  We look forward to what the new year holds for us!

UC basketball game

We got tickets to a UC basketball game as a family Christmas gift.  We had a great night out watching some hoops!  Love our Bearcats!!

Christmas Day

All the shopping, planning and decorating has taken place and all led up to this - Christmas Day!  The kids are so excited when they wake up.  They can't wait to see what's in their stockings.  Then they rush over to the tree to see what Santa and Daddy and I got them.  They tear through the paper and are soon all set to play with their new toys.  It truly is a fun day.  Happy holidays to all.

Christmas Eve traditions

Pajamas, saying goodbye to PJ, putting out cookies and milk and reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.  All precious family traditions that we look forward to each year.  Well, maybe not saying goodbye to PJ, as she has a hard time with that each year, so much so that she wrote him a goodbye card and told him how much she's going to miss him.  I hope I always hold all of these memories close in my heart as the kids age and that one day they'll do these things with their own kids.
